La Relance

Technical Work Experience Program (TWEP)

Acquire practical work experience in computer science or a related field.

The TWEP offers paid internships to young graduates who want to acquire practical work experience. Each placement lasts 8 to 12 months, 35 hours per week. Besides upgrading their skills, participants receive on-site training and help with their job search. Job applications from candidates who have completed the program are therefore more desirable to employers.

To participate in the TWEP, you must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years old;
  • Have a post-secondary diploma in computer science or a related field;
  • Speak English or French;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Examples of the kind of work you might do during your TWEP placement:

  • Creating TCP/IP addresses
  • Wiping data and formatting, installing and testing hard drives
  • Installing and testing software
  • Dismantling desktop and laptop computers
  • Supplying and distributing computer parts

La Relance Technology Service hires interns under the TWEP.

The TWEP is an initiative of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy.
