Get one-on-one help finding, starting and keeping a job.

If you are a person living with one or several disabilities, we can assist you with your job search. The Specialized Service for People with Disabilities (SSPD) offers employment counselling and one-on-one support to help you enter the job market and find and keep a job.

To participate in the SSPD, you must:

  • Be 16 years old or older;
  • Have a functional limitation (written confirmation from a health care professional required);
  • Speak English or French;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Live in the Outaouais region.

If you’re interested in participating in the SSPD, the first step is to contact us to schedule an intake interview with one of our employment counsellors.

In this program, you will:

  • Learn to recognize your strengths and achieve your potential.
  • Receive personalized, one-on-one support from a counsellor.
  • Practise job search techniques.
  • Learn about the specific work conditions of various jobs.
  • Find ways to facilitate your integration into the workforce.
